The incoming message log file displays processed time transactions for a specific process or for all processes used for terminal communication. You can perform the following actions with the messages:
- Correct and re-execute an erroneous incoming message
Erroneous messages can be corrected and re-executed. When the re-executed message has been processed the corrected version will be saved in the log file again. - Delete incoming messages
Incoming messages that no longer need to be saved can be deleted from the log file.
- Select the Work with incoming message log menu item.
- You access the main panel which displays messages that are saved in the log. You have several options on this panel. You can:
- Select the record you want to maintain and click Change.
- Select the record you want to delete and click Delete. Click OK to confirm the deletion or Cancel to cancel the deletion.
- Click Clear to remove all log records up to a certain date. The system displays a selection panel. Enter a date indicating which records should be removed from the file. Log records with a date that is less than or equal to the entered date will be removed.
- You access the detail panel where you can maintain the message of the selected log record. Note: See Standard terminal messages for information about the syntax of the messages. Change the erroneous information and click OK.
- You return to the Work with incoming message log main panel. Select the record for which you just corrected the message and click Execute.
- The system displays a prompt for confirmation. Click OK to confirm the execution of the message. The message has now been corrected and re-executed. Exit the routine.
Here, select the record you want to maintain and click Change.
