The planning, reporting and handling of the preventive service for the work centre is handled in IBS Service.
Note: The work centre capacity can be reduced with the service time. See Reduce the work centre capacity for more information.
To connect an existing service object to a work centre in IBS Manufacturing do as follows:
- Select the Work with service objects menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the applicable service object and click Change.
- On the Work with service objects detail panel complete the following field:
- Work centre
- Enter a work centre from the Work centre file indicating to which work centre the service object should be connected.
- You return to the initial panel. Select the applicable service object and click Prev service.
- You access Work with service objects, Preventive service information. Click Add.
- On the detail panel complete the following fields:
- Preventive service
- Enter a code from the Preventive service type table.
- Note: Depending on how the preventive service type is set up, information might be defaulted in several fields on this panel.
- Recommended kit
- Enter a code from the Recommended kit table, indicating the type of action that needs to be taken for the object.
- Order type
- Enter a code from the Sales order type table. The order type must be a service order type.
- If you want to view the dates in the preventive service calendar, click Preventive service calendar. Otherwise, exit the routine.
Click OK to update the information.
Click OK to update the preventive service calendar. Go back to the previous panel.
