Normally the planning, reporting and handling of the preventive service for the tool is handled in IBS Service. But if calibration is used for the tool, the planning is handled in IBS Manufacturing. See Connect a service object to a tool with calibration for more information.
To connect an existing service object to a tool in IBS Manufacturing do as follows:
- Select the Work with service objects menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the applicable service object and click Change.
- You access the Work with service objects detail panel. Complete the following field:
- Tool
- Enter a tool from the Tool/fixtures file indicating to which tool the service object should be connected.
- You return to the initial panel. Select the service object for which you want to enter preventive service information and click Prev service.
- You access Work with service objects, Preventive service information. Click Add.
- On the detail panel complete the following fields:
- Preventive service
- Enter a code from the Preventive service type table.
- Note: Depending on how the preventive service type is set up, information might be defaulted in several fields on this panel.
- Order type
- Enter a code from the Sales order type table. The order type must be a service order type.
- On the Work with service objects, Preventive service information panel, click Preventive service calendar if you want to view the dates in the preventive service calendar. Otherwise exit the routine.
Click OK to update the information.
Click OK to update the preventive service calendar. Go back to the previous panel.
