Manufacturing order operation reporting

Related topics

The reporting covers operations for time used, produced quantity, approved quantity and scrapped quantity in current operations and direct costs to be charged on the current manufacturing order. You can also report items back into stock if the material is defined as re-usable. The reported re-usable quantity will then be handled as a return of material.

The way in which the operation reporting is handled may vary depending on how the items are set up. The following reporting variations include:

  • Milestone reporting
  • Backflushing of material at operation reporting
  • Product reception at operation reporting
  • Automatically calculated times/quantities at operation reporting

Scrap reporting
There are several ways of reporting scrapped goods:

  • If you report scrap during operation reporting, the system creates a proposal that contains the material that can be re-used. The user can then decide if the individual items should be put back into stock.
  • If the scrap reporting is done from an external reporting system (batch input) the system will not update the re-usable material, but the operation will, instead, be created in the Manufacturing order inventory transaction error file. See About manufacturing batch input and inventory transaction errors and Correct inventory transaction errors for more information.
