Operation reporting is only used for group orders connected to manufacturing order operations.
The group order type defines if reporting should be done from the group order type or from the normal reporting panel. If the operation reporting is done from the group order, the manufacturing order status will automatically be updated when approved quantities or times are entered.
The status of the group order and the manufacturing order is 40 (started) when the operation reporting has started. When the operation reporting is completed the group order and the operation receive status 60 (completed) but the manufacturing order will still be at status 40 (started). The manufacturing order is no longer connected to the group order, but will continue on its own in the manufacturing order process.
Note: Reporting on a group order is only possible if Used from is set to 2 (operation) and Report on group is set to YES in the Group order type table. The status of the group order must be lower than 60.
Creation of consolidated order in IBS Time
The connection to IBS Time is only available for group orders connected to manufacturing order operations. A consolidated order will be created automatically in IBS Time when a manufacturing group order is locked, if operations have been added to the group order and if the Create group in TIME field is set to YES in the Manufacturing group order type table. The consolidated order is identical to the manufacturing group order. The operation reporting is done from IBS Time, which has start and stop functions and automatically calculates the time to be reported for the operation. See Report operation time for a manufacturing group order (consolidated order) in IBS Time for how to report time for a consolidated order.
