Using this function you automatically create a manufacturing order without first marking the proposal and then releasing it. You can also create purchase orders for items that are usually produced internally.
When the manufacturing order is created, planned workload for the order proposal is immediately removed and replaced with manufacturing order workload.
Note: Planned workload exists only if it is selected when creating material requirements.
Note: Proposals can only be released if the requirement date is equal to or later than today’s date.
- Select the Work with MRP (Manufacturing) or Work with MRP (Purchase) menu item.
- You access Work with MRP manufacturing or Work with MRP purchase respectively. Click the Change defaults function key to define temporary default values for the order creation.
- You access Change MRP defaults. The default manufacturing and purchase order types that you enter on this panel are only temporary. They will be used for this order creation, but the next time you access the MRP function you will have to define new default values. Click OK.
