Evaluate purchase quantities for an item

  1. Select the Work with purchase suggestions menu item.
  2. On the header panel, select the applicable purchase suggestion and click Lines.
  3. On Work with purchase suggestions, Lines, click Special.
  4. You access Special Buy Evaluation Selection. Use the selection fields to narrow down the number of items or item groups to be included in the evaluation. Complete the following fields:
    5. Special buy percent
    Enter a percentage to be used in the evaluation. If you are evaluating a discount, enter the discount percentage. If you are evaluating a price increase, enter the increase percentage. The percentage entered must be a positive number that is less than 100.
    Discount
    Indicate if the percentage value represents a discount. Note: This field must be set to NO if Price increase is set to YES.
    Price increase
    Indicate if the percentage value represents a price increase. Note: This field must be set to NO if Discount is set to YES.

    Click OK.

  5. You access Special Buy Evaluation showing the evaluation of the item(s) you selected. Select a line to maintain the suggested quantity.
  6. You access the detail panel where you can view details and maintain the suggested special buy quantities for the line. You can change the following field:
    7. Additional purch qty
    Enter, in purchase units, the increased or decreased additional purchase suggestion quantity.

    Click OK twice. The system calculates the purchase values.

  7. On the main Special Buy Evaluation panel, click Update twice to update the suggested special buy quantities for all of the displayed lines. The purchase quantities and prices will be updated with the new values, and any previous special buy discounts or quantities will be removed.

    8. Note: If the special buy is performed for discount order lines, prices are decreased by the special buy percentage.

    Note: If you add the suggested quantity to the suggestion line, and consequently update the suggestion to a purchase order, the Discount % field will be updated with any special buy discounts for the order line.

    On the main panel you can also:

    • Click Selection to return to the selection panel. This will delete any quantity changes you have made.
    • Select a line and click Set add qty zero for marked to reset the extra line quantities to zero.

Exit the routine.
