Adjust demand manually

You can manually update demand adjustments for any item/warehouse combination.

Prerequisites
The Auto adjust demand field must be set to NO in the IC control file.

Note: Demand can also be adjusted manually through the Demand variation list/update report. This is described in Identify and adjust abnormal demand.

  1. Select the Work with forecasts menu item.
  2. On the main panel, select the applicable forecast and click Change.
  3. On the Work with forecasts panel, select the forecast period you want to maintain.
  4. On the detail panel, click Forecast adjustment.
  5. You access Forecast file maintenance, Forecast adjustment. Complete the following fields:
    6. Demand adjustment
    Enter a manual demand adjustment quantity (+ or -). The net demand will be adjusted according to the entered demand adjustment quantity. The net demand is used in calculating forecast in the next forecast period.
    Note: Demand (+/-) Demand adjustment = Net demand
    Reason code
    Enter a code from Work with adjustment reason codes indicating the reason for the demand adjustment. Only user-defined reason codes may be selected for the changes.
    Notes
    Enter any notes for the adjustment.

    Click OK. Exit the routine.
