Set up the order property functionality

The following describes the necessary steps to take prior to using the Order property functionality. This functionality provides an extended possibility for the handler of a sales order to manually administrate internal procedures and to control the life-cycle of the sales order. When an order property code is entered on a sales order, it follows the order throughout the entire sales order process.

Prerequisites
One panel value group containing the applicable values must be defined for each field in the Panel value control file. This configuration can only be done by the system administrator. For detailed instructions, refer to the Panel help.

  1. Select the DIS control file menu item.
  2. Click OK until you access the User defined order properties panel. Complete the following fields:
  3. Active
    Set to YES to activate the order property functionality.
    Lead text, fields 1-11
    Enter the lead text that will follow the corresponding field in the sales order routine. You have 11 fields at your disposal, but you decide how many your internal procedures require. Only those fields with lead text attributed to them will be displayed in the Work with order properties routine.

    Click OK to confirm and exit the routine.
