The sales commission list details the commissions that are paid to the sales persons. Note: There is no connection to IBS Financials. Paying the commission to the sales persons is handled manually.
A typical sequence for processing payments is to:
- Print the commission list
- Analyse the printout and verify that it is correct
- Change any errors via the Work with commissions program
- Print the commission list again if any errors existed on the first printout
- Deliver the correct commission printout to the financials department for payment to the sales persons
- Enter the payments via the Work with commissions menu item.
Print list
- Select the Print commissions menu item.
- The values that you enter in these fields should reflect the type of information that you wish to include in the printout. Enter information according to how you want to break down the commission payment information.
- Only not paid
- Set to YES. All commission records that are still marked as unpaid will be printed.
- You return to the menu and the printout will be processed.
Click OK.
Update as paid
To record the payments as paid do as follows:
- Select the Work with commissions menu item.
- Select all of the commissions that have been (or are about to be) paid and click Pay.
- You access Work with commissions, payment. Complete the following field:
- Pay date
- Enter the date the commissions will be paid to the sales persons. Tip: If the same date applies to all of the records that are displayed then enter the date for the first record and click Repeat date. The date will defaulted to all of the records on the panel.
- You return to the Work with commissions.
- P
- This column denotes that payments have been registered.
Click OK.
Remove payment
If you update a record as paid by mistake, select the commission record and click Remove payment to revert the payment.
