Define the report settings to be valid for a specific Profitability Analysis report

Note: Only the settings you define on the This PA report page affect the report you are currently viewing. All other settings you define on the Actions and Performance pages will affect all reports.

  1. Open the report you want to view by:
    • Selecting the Display PA reports menu item and then the applicable report, or
    • Selecting the Manage PA definitions menu item, highlighting the report you want to view and then clicking the Show PA report icon (alternatively Actions/Show PA report on the menu bar).
  2. When the report is displayed, click the Edit settings icon (alternatively Settings/Edit settings from the menu bar).
  3. You access the Edit PA report settings window.
  4. Note: The same two pages (i.e. Actions and Performance) are available which affect all reports, as described in Define the report settings to be valid for all Profitability Analysis reports.

    A third page, entitled This PA report , is available where you can edit both the Number settings and the Column visual settings for just the report you are viewing.

  5. On the This PA report page, the top section displays the Code, Creation date and Creation time for the PA report. You can change the following information:

    Displays the comment (if any) for the PA report. Leave as is, or change to any other.

    Numeric settings
    The numeric settings displayed are those you defined for the report when you defined the report definition (described in Define the definition information for the Profitability Analysis report). You can leave any values as is, or change to that applicable for this report.

    Number of decimals to display for values
    Leave as is, or change to the number of decimals in which you want the values to be displayed on this report.
    Number of decimals to display for percentages
    Leave as is, or change to the number of decimals in which you want percentages to be displayed on this report.
    Use thousands separator
    The default is a checkmark in this box. Keep the default if you want to use thousands separator
    Edit policy for values
    The default is No number editing. Leave as is, or change to the appropriate edit policy (how the values will be shown on the report, e.g., in hundreds, thousands, etc) by clicking the arrow to pull down a list from which you can make your selection.

    Column visual settings
    You can colour code columns in your reports to be able to identify critical information, regardless of what sorting has been done. Click Edit column visual settings to define these settings. (See Define the visual settings for columns in a Profitability Analysis report for instructions).

    Click Save when ready to update the information. Again, all settings you changed are valid only for this report.
