R/F location movement (RFHD8111)

R/F location movement can be selected as an R/F activity. Multiple items can be picked and moved using the handheld devices. When picking is done, all necessary fields must be entered for the system to recognize what to move. For example, when moving a pallet from the reserve location into the pick location, the setup is as follows:

  • Pick pallet
    • Scan location alias
    • Scan pallet id
    • Click Put
  • Put pallet
    • Scan location alias

Function keys

Info Display the function keys that are available for the activity.
Put For location movements, multiple items can first be picked and when you click Put, put away instructions are displayed in FOFO (first on, first off) sequence.

Activity line

Below the activity line, the active task is indicated and explained.

Zn/Location or Location alias
Scan/Enter the zone and location or the location alias for which the instruction is actually executed. Note: You can only scan/enter a location alias if Use location alias is YES on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses.

Depending on the type of instruction, the following applies:

Type Description
PICK For a PICK instruction, this is the location from which the item was picked.
PUT For a PUT instruction, this is the location where the item was put.
Pallet number
Only for PICK and PUT. If Scan/Enter pallet on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses is NO for Movement (for PUT only), then the suggested pallet number is defaulted from the instruction. If YES, then the pallet number must be entered/scanned. Note: If Display pallet on the Radio frequency information panel is NO, then entry is not possible. Note: When picking a whole pallet, no more item-related information is necessary.
Item/EAN code
Only for PICK and PUT. If Scan/Enter item on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses is NO for Movement, then the item code is defaulted from the instruction. If YES, then the item code must be entered/scanned.

If you scan the item, then the EAN code for the item will be displayed in this field. The Activate R/F and Scan EAN code fields under section R/F panel on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses must be set to YES to use the EAN number; if it is set to NO, then the item code must be used.

Quantity/Unit
Only for PICK and PUT. If Scan/Enter quantity/unit on the Work with warehouses, Radio Frequency information panel is NO for Movement, then the suggested/picked quantity or unit is defaulted from the instruction. If YES, then the quantity must be entered/scanned.

Enter the quantity for the instruction being executed. If no quantity is entered, then a value of 1 is assumed. Note: You cannot enter a quantity for serial number tracked items. Each item has to be scanned to track the right serial number when executing the R/F instruction line.

Transit order flag
NO is defaulted. Set to YES when moving BtB items.
Transit purchase order number
When moving transit balance, the balance must be identified using the connected purchase order number. Enter the order number.
Transit purchase order line number
When moving transit balance, the balance must be identified using the connected purchase order line number. Enter the order line number.

Below the activity line, the following fields are available.

Zn/Location or Location alias

If YES, then the pallet number must be entered/scanned. Note: When picking a whole pallet, no more item-related information is necessary.
NCC pick
Only displayed if the following is true:

  • The NCC-SELL (NCC Selling) function is activated in the Function control file. See About NCC selling for more information.
  • The customer accepts NCC deliveries.

Displays the number of the Non-conformity certificate that was entered for the sales order line during order entry, against which the reservation is made.

Item/EAN code
If Scan/Enter item on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses is NO for Movement, then the item code is defaulted from the instruction. If YES, then the item code must be entered/scanned.

If you scan the item, then the EAN code for the item will be displayed in this field. The Activate R/F and Scan EAN code fields under the R/F panel section on the Radio frequency information panel in Work with warehouses must be set to YES to use the EAN number; if it is set to NO, then the item code must be used.

Quantity
If Scan/Enter quantity/unit on the Work with warehouses, Radio Frequency information panel is NO for Movement, then the suggested/picked quantity or unit is defaulted from the instruction. If YES, then the quantity must be entered/scanned.

Enter the quantity for the instruction being executed. If no quantity is entered, then a value of 1 is assumed. Note: You cannot enter a quantity for serial number tracked items. Each item has to be scanned to track the right serial number when executing the R/F instruction line.

Batch
Only valid for batch controlled items. Enter the batch for the item for which the instruction is being executed. Note: The following restriction only applies when one or more suppliers have been defined on any SMS agreement. If the sales order line belongs to a sales order that is defined for SMS rebates, then you cannot select quantities from different batches if those quantities come from different suppliers. Serial
Only valid for serial tracked items. Enter the serial number for the item for which the instruction is being executed. Note: The following restriction only applies when one or more supplier has been defined on any SMS agreement. If the sales order line belongs to a sales order that is defined for SMS rebates, you cannot select quantities from different serial numbers if those quantities come from different suppliers.
