Product costing online, Bill of material (BAS050D)

The purpose of this program is to get an overview of all included material and costs for an item. You can also display details for sub-assembly items.

Options

Next level Select this option to view the product costing on a lower level. Note: This is only valid for items with item type 1 or 2.
Equations Select this option to view performed equations and values for an item.

Function keys

Re-calculate Re-calculate the product costing. Note: This is mandatory if new material has been added or if existing material lines have been changed.
Operations View the operations that are connected to the parent item.
Prev level Only used if you are viewing lower levels. Return to the previous level.

Selection fields

Item
Calc date
The date indicates when the right prices and overhead were retrieved.
Cost model
The cost model id used for product costing.
It cost type
The item cost type indicates from where the component prices have been retrieved during the product costing calculation.

Valid codes are:

Std quant PC
The quantity in stock unit that the product costing is based on.
Struct quant
The quantity on which the structure is based. This field is displayed with three decimals.

Component item
The item that is included as a component in the bill of material.
Quantity
The quantity in stock unit, displayed in up to 3 decimals, of components included in the bill of material.
Set-up quantity
The fixed set-up quantity for materials. This set-up quantity can be deemed as an estimated reservation that you plan on consuming for the machine set-up before real production, and is independent of the order’s quantity. When manufacturing orders are entered, the components required quantity is calculated as follows: order quantity x component quantity + fixed set-up quantity.

Example:
Fixed set-up quantity = 10
Order quantity = 5
Component quantity = 1
Component required quantity = 15

Line amount
The calculated cost for a component item presented in system currency for one parent item unit.

Indicates if the component item has been changed, either via the Change option or by adding a new component item line.
