Manually hold service order lines

Note: If the order contains other lines which are not held, you can still continue processing those lines.

  1. Select the Work with service orders menu item.
  2. You access Work with service orders, Header view. Select the applicable order and click Lines.
  3. You access Work with service orders, Order lines. Select the line you want to hold and click Hold.
  4. You access Work with service orders, Hold lines. Complete the following fields:
  5. RC
    Enter a code from the Order held reason code table to identify the reason why the sales order line must be held. Note: The Manual release field (in the Order held reason code table) must be set to YES for the entered code, meaning that the order is allowed to be released manually.
    Release handler
    Enter the employee responsible for releasing the sales order line.
    Restr type
    Mandatory entry if the order held reason code that is included in the category Restriction hold is entered in RC on this panel. Indicate in this field the sales restriction that applies. Sales restrictions are defined in the Work with sales restrictions program. The severity code on the sales restriction dictates the severity of the hold.

    Click OK twice to confirm the hold. Exit the routine.
