Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) include the following:
- MSDS documents
- TREM Cards
- Labels
- Freight documentation
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) contain sections defining all aspects of the handling, storage and transportation of hazardous and dangerous goods. The MSDS is sent to the customer independently of the goods.
Transport Emergency Cards (TREM Cards) are mandatory and are sent with items that are shipped. These contain standardised safety and emergency information about the goods being transported.
Freight documents may be produced that travel with the goods and combine item details with selected information from the MSDS.
Labelling of dangerous or hazardous goods may also be produced, using this routine.
Although there are many international standards that are used in this respect, there are differences between country to country and in certain regions. It is therefore advisable that you are aware of the current legislation regarding the handling, storage and transportation of dangerous goods.
